Which Operating System is BT200 compliant to?

Windows XP/2000/ME/98SE, and PocketPC 2003/2002/2000.
(Extra printing software is required with Bluetooth enabled PDA, the exact version varying according to the PDA’s OS)

Yes, BT200 needs a external power supply, and it is powered by the AC/DC adapter that is included in the BT200 retail box.

How to make BT200 to work?

If you want setup BT200 work with Bluetooth adapter, follow those steps:

a. Your printer need support IEEE 1284 compliant bi-directional parallel (36 Pin).
b. Plug BT200 in your printer and connect with AC adapter when the printer power off.
c. Turn off your PC’s PIN code or Passkey request:
i. Right click on Bluetooth icon, and select “Advanced Configuration”.
ii. Select “Client Applications” tab.
iii. Select “Bluetooth Serial Port” and click “Properties”
iv. Pick off “Secure Connection”, and then click “OK”
v. Click “OK”, close Bluetooth Configuration window.
d. Turn on your printer.

Make a Connection between BT200 with Bluetooth adapter
1. Prepare your printer and setup the printer's driver in your Windows OS.
2. Install Bluetooth adapter's software/driver in the same computer.
3. Run "My Bluetooth Place" from your desktop.
4. Run 'Bluetooth Setup Wizard"
5. Select "I know the service I want to use and I want to find a Bluetooth device that provides that service." and click "Next"
6. Select "Bluetooth Serial Port" and click "Next"
7. Choice "Show printer, cameras and scanners" from "Show computers" pull bar
8. If no show any "BT200" or "BT200 XXXXXX", click "Refresh" will search again.
9. Select "BT200" or "BT200 XXXXXX" and click "Next"
10. Click "Configure"
11. Enter your Printer Name, and memo which COM port in used. (Ex. COM3) then click "OK" back previous step.
12. Click "OK" finished the setup wizard.

Setup your Printer:
1. Open "Control Panel"
2. Run "Printers and Faxes"
3. Right click on your printer, and select "Properties"
4. Select "Ports" TAB.
5. Select which COM port before you memo down (Ex. COM3).
6. Click "OK" to finish setup's window.

Printer Document via Bluetooth device:
1. Open "My Bluetooth Places" before you will printer your documents.
2. Right click on the icon before your created.
3. Click "Connect" then will see the icon changed.
4. As usual, from the application, choose the printer that is installed the BT200 Bluetooth Printer adapter and then click "Print" button.

BT200 all steps with pictures http://www.bluetake.com/applications.htm and pull down to Wireless Printing; then select “The Bluetooth enabled computer and the BLUETAKE BT200 installed printer” will open another window for setup steps.
